The High Commissioner of Pakistan to UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal who visited Scotland, held an interactive session with Pakistani diaspora, residing in Scotland, arranged by Pakistan Consulate, Glasgow.



The High Commissioner stated that overseas Pakistanis were playing a vital role in the development and progress of the local communities.  He added that Pakistanis in the UK had achieved great successes, through sheer hard work and honest living.  Their progress was widely appreciated in the United Kingdom.



Dr. Mohammad Faisal stated that the Government of Pakistan held the overseas Pakistanis in high esteem and was implementing many policies to further facilitate them. Appreciating the important role of the Scottish Pakistani Community, the High Commissioner emphasised the importance of connecting the young generation with Pakistan through cultural and social exposure.



The High Commissioner assured the gathered community members that the Pakistan High Commission and its sub-missions across UK were working with full dedication to facilitate Pakistanis living in UK.



Answering questions regarding Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Commissioner reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and assured that Pakistan would continue its unwavering moral, diplomatic and political support for the oppressed people of IIOJK and requested the support of the international community for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
