“The struggle, spirit and the dream of freedom of Kashmiri people is equally heartfelt by every Pakistani”; Dr. Mohammad Faisal



“The world speaks of human rights, democracy and freedom, yet it turns a blind eye to the inhuman treatment, mass arrests, killings and the use of pellet guns on the innocent civilians in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.”, said High Commissioner of Pakistan to UK Dr. Mohammad Faisal. He was speaking at a Seminar arranged today by the Pakistan High Commission, London on the occasion of “Jammu & Kashmir Solidarity Day”.



The High Commissioner said that every Pakistani supported the struggle of Kashmiri people for the legitimate right to self-determination. History would be unforgiving to those, who remain silent in the face of naked aggression and tyranny of the occupying forces in IIOJK, emphasized Dr. Faisal.



The seminar was attended by Imran Hussain MP, Chair of All-Party Parliamentary Group on Jammu & Kashmir at the British Parliament, Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International a large number of  Kashmiri and Pakistani diaspora in UK.



Imran Hussain MP said that Kashmiris in UK remember the decades of oppression, injustice and persecution of innocent Kashmiris. He called upon the international community to uphold the inalienable right of Kashmiris to self-determination.



While addressing the seminar, Raja Najabat Hussain, the Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, thanked the Government of Pakistan and Pakistan High Commission in London for raising the Jammu & Kashmir dispute at various international fora. He paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, who have been suffering at the hands of oppressive forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.



Earlier, the High Commissioner, along with prominent Kashmiri leaders based in UK, a large number of Pakistani Diaspora and media, visited the photo exhibition arranged by Pakistan High Commission, London. The photo exhibition portrayed pictorial representation of the atrocities being inflicted upon the innocent people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
